Privacy Policy — The Connect
This Privacy Policy explains what we collect from users of The Connect (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to be short and honest. Information about the businesses and people who appear as leads is covered at the end.
1. Who we are
The Connect is a free, open-beta tool operated by Tri Nguyen in Houston, Texas. For any privacy question, email ttnguyen081482@gmail.com.
2. What we collect from you
- Account details. Your email address. If you choose “Continue with Google,” the basic account identifiers Google shares to sign you in (such as your email address).
- Your password. If you create a password, it is stored only as a secure one-way hash by our sign-in provider. We never see or store your actual password.
- Your targeting and activity. Your business name, industry, the answers you give about who you want to reach, any notes or tags you save on a lead, and the thumbs-up or thumbs-down feedback you give on leads. This is what tunes your nightly hunt.
- Notification setup. If you turn on morning lead alerts, a push-notification token for the device or browser you enabled them on.
- Agreement records. When you accept our Terms of Service, we record that you accepted, when, which versions you agreed to, and your IP address and browser type, as proof of the agreement.
- Technical logs. Standard server and service logs kept by our hosting and backend providers — for example IP address, browser type, and timestamps — used to keep the Service secure and working.
3. How we use it
We use your information to sign you in, find and rank leads for you, send morning alerts if you enable them, keep the Service secure and reliable, improve how it works, and communicate with you about your account. We do not use it for advertising.
4. Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. The site uses your browser’s local storage only for the app itself — to remember that you have signed in before and to save your unfinished onboarding answers on your own device so you can pick up where you left off.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run the Service on our behalf:
- Supabase — stores your account data and handles sign-in.
- Cloudflare Pages — serves the website to your browser.
- Brevo — sends account emails and morning lead-digest emails.
- jsDelivr — a content-delivery network that serves the site’s software library to your browser.
- Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google,” to sign you in.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not sell sensitive personal data.
6. How long we keep it, and security
We keep your account data for as long as your account is open. Agreement records (your acceptance of the Terms) are kept as legal evidence even after an account is closed. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.
7. Your choices and deleting your account
You can ask to see or delete your account data at any time by emailing ttnguyen081482@gmail.com. Deleting your account removes your account and targeting data. As noted above, records that prove you accepted the Terms are retained as legal evidence.
8. Children
The Service is for adults in business. You must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. About the leads (listed businesses and people)
The leads shown in the Service come primarily from public sources — government permits, licenses, business registrations, and other publicly available web information. If you are a business or person who appears as a lead and you would like to be removed, email ttnguyen081482@gmail.com and we will honor reasonable suppression requests.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make a material change, we will post the update with a new effective date and, where appropriate, tell you.
